The camp is in a pleasant location and, from all similar types of accommodation in Prague, is the closest to the historical centre of the capital city.
Since 1990 the asset management of the camp and hostel in Prague’s Žižkov district has been under the non-profit sports organisation SARA. It is situated 10 minutes from the city centre and is easily reachable by public transport or on foot. From the camp you can easily and quickly get where you want to go.
Reception is open from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm It also serves as an information centre and a place where you can buy maps and tickets for public transport.
The tram stop Vápenka is approximately 2 minutes walk from the camp where you can quickly get to locations such as Wenceslas Square, Charles Square, The National Theatre, Ujezd and Hradcanska which is near to Prague Castle (Tram No: 9, 16 or night tram No: 58). The nearest Metro station is Palmovka (Line B) is only 2 stops by tram No: 1. Bus No: 133 from the nearby bus stop Biscupcova will take you directly to Staromestska, only a few minutes walk from the square.
On your way to the centre, you can take a walk through the picturesque park on Vitkov Hill on which stands the majestic statue of the one eyed General Jan Žižka of Trocnov. Also easily accessible from the campsite is the Žižkov TV Tower where, from the observation “pods”, you have a view of the whole of Prague in the palm of your hand.
In the sports area, which is located in the rear part of the camp and hostel, you can take part in a range of sporting activities such as tennis, beach volleyball, basketball and afterwards swim in the heated outdoor swimming pool.
Since the camp is located in the Prague district of Žižkov, there are a number of pleasant restaurants, pizzerias, bars, pubs and clubs as well as a grocery store and ATMs.
You can spend your free time in a relaxing and pleasant place, hidden in the heart of Prague – in the city with a magical atmosphere, ancient history blended with modern architecture and vibrant nightlife.
